Extra-Curricular Activities at Monkspath School

At Monkspath, we believe learning goes far beyond the classroom. Our extra-curricular programme offers children the opportunity to explore interests, build confidence and develop new skills in a fun and supportive environment.

A Broad and Balanced Offer

We are proud to provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities to suit different interests and abilities. These clubs help children to discover new passions, strengthen friendships and nurture their physical, social and emotional development.

Our programme incorporates a wide range of activities which over recent years has included:

• Netball
• Dance
• Gymnastics
• Running Club
• Cricket Club
• Cheerleading
• Rounders
• Creative and Enrichment Clubs such as:
• Sewing Club
• Writing Club
• Chess Club
• Cookery Club

Other clubs may vary each term to keep things fresh and exciting!

When and Where

• Lunchtime and After-School options are available
• Some clubs are run by our fantastic school staff, while others are led by trusted external providers who bring specialist expertise.
• Clubs take place on the school site, ensuring a safe and familiar setting for all pupils.

How to Join

Information about our club offer is sent out towards the end of each term, ready for sign-up for the following term. This gives families plenty of time to choose and register for clubs that best suit their child’s interests and schedule.

Who Can Join?

Most clubs are open to both boys and girls and we aim to offer a good balance of clubs for all age groups. Some activities may have limited spaces or be targeted at certain year groups – this will always be clearly explained in the information sent out each term.
