Text Box: The school has a homework policy with differing amounts of homework depending on the age of the children. Homework set is planned to support and extend learning that is taking place in school. Children will be given the opportunity to practise the skills and concepts they have been learning in class in a variety of ways so that they are better able to apply their new knowledge in differing situations.
As a matter of routine, children are expected to read at home daily, to learn spellings, tables and number facts. Other types of homework include; research, project work, finishing work, practice test papers etc. Children are given deadlines for the completion of work to help them learn to ‘manage’ their free time. All Key Stage Two children have a homework diary.
